Residential Care Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our highly committed team at a children's home in Middlesex. As a leader in residential care, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.

About the Role:

  • Assist the Registered Manager in maintaining the smooth and effective running of the home.
  • Lead by example, managing and guiding the team to deliver exceptional care to children and young people.
  • Support children's physical, psychological, and emotional development in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Evaluate the home's compliance with regulatory requirements, including Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Step into the Manager's role during absences, maintaining the home to a high standard.
  • Oversee staff rotas, training, supervision, and performance management.
  • Act as a mentor to staff, fostering their professional growth and confidence.
  • Manage behaviours that challenge and guide staff in effective strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring they meet statutory requirements.

About You:

  • You should have at least 2 years of experience working in a children's home, with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care with Children and Young People.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Children's Homes Regulations, safeguarding, and inspection frameworks.
  • Have experience supporting children with learning disabilities and communicating effectively to understand their wishes and feelings.
  • Possess excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Clearcare Solutions is advantageous.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
