About the Role
  • Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, managing benefits programs, and ensuring accurate and timely employee payments.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Group Payroll Manager in processing payroll for all companies within the group.
  2. Collate and process overtime and other payroll data each month.
  3. Manage annual pay reviews and handle starters, leavers, and pro-rata payments.
  4. Perform payroll calculations, including statutory payments like SMP, SPP, and SSP.
  5. Assist with benefits payroll calculations, monthly reporting, and third-party payments.
  6. Respond to employee and auditor queries on payroll, expenses, and benefits.
  7. Manage employee benefit programs, assist with queries, and promote program understanding.
  8. Keep employee records up to date and support HR and Finance as needed.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in payroll administration with knowledge of UK payroll processes and legislation.
  • Strong numeracy skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • A high level of discretion, confidentiality, and the ability to communicate effectively.
