About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Lambeth as a Community Engagement Officer, responsible for the project development of onsite activities, audience growth, training, and volunteer plans for the National Lottery Heritage Fund project at Brockwell Hall.

In collaboration with the Heritage Lottery Fund, Lambeth Council, and the Brockwell Park Community Partners, the project brings significant investment to ensure the future of Brockwell Hall, with a key focus on heritage and culture while offering customers outstanding facilities for a range of events.

The post holder will be the lead officer for all community and heritage activities within the Hall and will be primarily responsible for the delivery of the Activity and Interpretation Plan.

The role involves close liaison with the Project Manager, the Venue Manager, the Brockwell Park Community Partners, and other key stakeholders to deliver their work. The post holder will be the lead officer for local engagement and developing partnerships which meet the project's outcome requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies to promote the National Lottery Heritage Fund project at Brockwell Hall.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, the Venue Manager, and other stakeholders to deliver the Activity and Interpretation Plan.
  • Lead local engagement and develop partnerships to meet the project's outcome requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Heritage Lottery Fund, Lambeth Council, and the Brockwell Park Community Partners to ensure the project's success.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in working with the local community, partners, and stakeholders in the development of new events, activities, and small-scale projects.
  • Understanding of the National Lottery Heritage Fund project processes and how to manage activities and events within listed buildings and/or heritage sites.
  • Excellent communication skills to build good working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creativity, energy, initiative, and vision to drive the project's success.
