Job Title: Operational Ecologist

Join our team of passionate ecologists at Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust as we embark on an exciting project to deliver a comprehensive Biodiversity Plan for Network Rail's Eastern Region. As an Operational Ecologist, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing landscape-scale biodiversity improvements throughout the rail network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the production of core project deliverables under the guidance of a Strategic Ecologist
  • Conduct biodiversity inventories and develop biodiversity action plans with overarching objectives for routes
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to implement plans into biodiversity interventions
  • Support stakeholder engagement and integration of plans into day-to-day working practices and standards
Requirements:
  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle for traveling to meetings and sites
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
