Job Description

Berry Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Outreach Specialist to join our team on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be based at our offices and will work closely with local authorities to provide support services to individuals experiencing homelessness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to reports of rough sleeping in the community and build relationships with individuals to support them in accessing benefit, health services, and accommodation.
  • Work in partnership with Homelessness and Housing Advice Officers and other support workers to provide a comprehensive support service.
  • Support individuals to access benefit, welfare, and health services, and provide guidance on how to navigate the system.
  • Develop and maintain a caseload of individuals, providing regular check-ins and support to ensure they are receiving the necessary services.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and other stakeholders to identify and address the root causes of homelessness in the community.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working with individuals with mental health issues, substance misuse, and debt issues.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Administration and data entry experience.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
