We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Pathology Academic to join our team at the University of Leicester. As a leading institution in the field of forensic pathology, we are committed to delivering high-quality education and research that shapes the future of our profession.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering forensic pathology services to police forces and coronial jurisdictions, as well as teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students. They will also contribute to the development of future forensic pathologists through research and academic activities.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong track record of teaching and research experience, as well as expertise in autopsy techniques, forensic imaging, and clinical audit. You will also be required to hold a fully accredited medical practitioner qualification and be registered with the General Medical Council.

Key Requirements:

  • Fully accredited medical practitioner with GMC registration and a licence to practice
  • Experience in teaching and supervising students
  • Expertise in autopsy techniques, forensic imaging, and clinical audit
  • FRCPath (Forensic) or equivalent, and eligibility for inclusion on the Home Office list of approved forensic pathologists
