About the Role

As a Head Chef at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for leading a culinary team that provides high-quality, nutritionally balanced meals to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage and lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional culinary services
* Prepare and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of our residents
* Place food orders with approved suppliers, ensuring good quality provisions are purchased within budget
* Supervise and direct the work of other kitchen staff, instructing and demonstrating food preparation activities
* Practice safe systems of work, assessing risk and ensuring the personal safety of residents, visitors, and staff

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have:

* Two years' experience managing a culinary team in the care or hospitality sectors
* A relevant catering qualification, such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ
* Passion and commitment to delivering high-quality culinary standards
* Ability to control a budget
