Principal Mechanical Engineer

Carrington West is seeking a highly experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. As a key member of our nuclear engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the engineering design of nuclear projects and working closely with our clients to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical management of engineering scope to ensure project quality requirements and deadlines are met
  • Subject matter expertise in mechanical engineering, with a strong understanding of health and safety matters
  • Assessment and implementation of change ideas, with a focus on improving project efficiency and effectiveness
  • Leadership of a team of engineers and technical specialists, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting project deadlines

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in a relevant field, with significant demonstrable experience in nuclear engineering
  • Chartership (desired) and knowledge of CAD
  • SC clearance obtainable and experience in managing teams
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues
