About the Role

We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Overstone Park School, a non-selective independent school registered with DFE and ISI for boys and girls aged 5 to 18 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide support to teachers and other staff in addressing the needs of children with special educational needs (SEND) and behaviour challenges.
  • To work with a range of pupils, prioritizing those who need the most help, including those with special or medical needs, challenging behaviour, and children with a statement of special educational needs.
  • To deliver tuition to disengaged pupils at home, while parents are present.
  • To work with children on a one-to-one basis or in small or large groups, acting as a listener, mentor, facilitator for learning, encourager, motivator, and role model.
Requirements
  • Qualification in Level 2 or 3 in childcare or Health and social care or above.
  • Three years of working with children or within the care sector.
  • Training is offered.
