We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Team Manager to lead our culinary team at RVG, with opportunities for better work-life balance and utilizing your skills in a new way.

Job Summary

This is an exciting time to join us as we look for someone who can plan and create restaurant-standard dishes and menus, and deliver an elevated dining experience in our Essex-based Retirement Village.

Main Responsibilities
  • Food Production and Management: Plan, organize, and direct the preparation and cooking of food to enhance our reputation for quality.
  • Culinary Leadership: Take responsibility for food production with a hands-on approach and strong management style, possessing an exceptional drive for quality of food prepared across all hospitality events.
  • F&B Cost Control: Monitor and maintain F&B costs on site to facilitate budgetary control against agreed targets, collecting P&L responsibility for food and beverage.
  • Kitchen Operations: Be responsible for kitchen stock, including stock rotation, storage conditions, and wastage routines, conducting monthly stock takes and ensuring the kitchen is clean and tidy.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Passion for Food and Service: Passion for great food and excellent service, logistics, and delivery.
  • Financial Acumen: Financially astute with regards to food costings and margin management.
  • Security Clearance: Satisfactory enhanced DBS checks required.

Estimated Salary: £37,000 - £47,000 per annum, depending on experience.
