Job Type: Full-time, Part-time

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary school setting. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to pupils, helping them to engage with their learning and make excellent progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis, providing individualized support to help them access the curriculum
  • Work with teachers to develop and implement strategies to support pupils with SEN, including behavior management and learning plans
  • Prepare resources and materials for learning activities and lessons, as required
  • Supervise pupils during break times and lunchtimes, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Liaise with parents and outside agencies to discuss progress and share information

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service)
  • Recognized Childcare-based qualification (desirable)
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Resilient, proactive, and positive nature
  • Experience of supporting pupils in a school setting
  • High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with pupils
