Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the development and execution of specialized public health initiatives aimed at enhancing community health and addressing disparities in health outcomes. This role requires a strong foundation in public health principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive public health strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with partners to ensure effective delivery of health programs.
  • Promote innovative solutions and evidence-based practices to improve health outcomes.
  • Contribute to the strategic goals of the Health and Wellbeing Board.

Available Positions:

We currently have multiple openings, including:

  • Four permanent roles focusing on diverse public health priorities such as mental health, substance use, and health equity.
  • One temporary position dedicated to tobacco control initiatives.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A relevant degree in public health or a related field, along with practical experience.
  • Registration or progress towards registration with the UK Public Health Register.
  • A solid understanding of asset-based community development and public health policies.
  • A commitment to addressing health inequalities and promoting health equity.
