Job Overview

Sodexo is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our team at St Joes AP, Miller Street, Eccles M30 8PF. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff.

Approved Premises (APs) play a vital role in the rehabilitation and supervision of individuals released from prison. Our team is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment, and we are seeking a Cleaning Operative who shares our values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces
  • Conduct periodic deep cleaning of designated areas, as instructed by supervisor
  • Ensure all areas, including kitchens, toilets, and communal spaces, are clean and presentable
  • Replenish stock and consumables, such as toilet tissue and hand soap
  • Collaborate with the security team to maintain the cleanliness of their areas and report any hazards or faults
  • Develop an approachable attitude and provide excellent customer service

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of cleaning solutions and their uses (training provided)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and adapt to changing situations
  • Team player with a willingness to take instruction

Package Details:

  • 15 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 10:00 am (flexible start time)
