About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Lead to join our Financial Oversight and Delivery team at NHS England. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in leading or supporting the development of a programme management approach to analytical work undertaken within the team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead on the development of a programme management approach to analytical work undertaken within the team.
  • Develop collaborative working relationships with regional analytics stakeholders.
  • Identify and develop innovative solutions for analytical work within the team.
  • Manage one or more software applications used by the team, including application governance, administration, and development.
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in a specialized finance area.
  • Understanding of the NHS financial framework, ideally with experience of working at a senior level within the NHS.
  • Excellent organizational skills, experience managing multi-disciplinary teams, and working to a fixed timetable.
  • Advanced user of Excel and other software applications, including VBA and SQL.
  • Experience in software application governance, administration, and development.
