About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at CPR in North London. In this role, you will be responsible for providing professional mechanical engineering services, including specifying and designing new mechanical systems, inspecting works, fault finding, procurement, contract administration, and project management for mechanical projects undertaken by the council.

  1. As an expert in commercial and communal heating systems, you will provide mechanical engineering support, with a focus on specification, design, installation, and maintenance of these systems.
  2. You will manage retrofit and new build installations of communal heating and low-carbon mechanical systems, ensuring effective heat network management and producing technical reports relevant to the role.
  3. Your excellent problem-solving skills will enable you to address engineering design and maintenance challenges, while your project management abilities will ensure timely and budget-friendly completion of projects.
  4. With your strong technical knowledge of commercial and communal heating systems, you will conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs.
  5. You will work effectively within a team and independently, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills throughout the duration of your employment.

Key Requirements:

  • Chartered Engineer status or full membership of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial and communal heating systems
  • Ideal possession of commercial gas qualifications
  • Significant relevant experience in mechanical engineering
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently

Salary Details:

The estimated salary for this position is £315 per day (umbrella), making it an attractive opportunity for skilled engineers looking to advance their careers.
