Clinical Lead for Early Intervention Emotional Wellbeing

The NELFT NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Clinical Lead to join their team, working on the development and implementation of Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) across Kent & Medway.

This role will provide clinical leadership and direction to the MHSTs, ensuring evidence-based practice and adherence to service referral protocols. The successful candidate will work closely with senior clinical and operational colleagues to develop and implement strategies for improving timely access and minimising waiting times.

A key aspect of this role will be promoting the service-user voice and meaningful coproduction in MHSTs, as well as ensuring county-wide consistency in clinical delivery and continuously monitoring and reviewing services to ensure high quality and relevance to the latest research and evidence base.

As a senior leader, you will work in partnership with schools and the wider community to support children and young people experiencing mild to moderate emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties and their families in self-management of presenting difficulties.

You will take the lead in complex relationships or system issues with our partnership with Education and work within the wider mental health sector.

This role requires extensive experience of working with Children and Young People (CYP) within Mental Health settings, preferably at an 8a or above level or equivalent, and registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body.

The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, which reflects the importance of this position and the skills required.
