Senior Sister/Charge Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to lead our Acute Medical Ward. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the ward.
Main Duties- 24-hour accountability for the ward, including line management and delivery of high-quality care.
- Support and contribute to the development of patient care and practice within the Directorate.
- Ensure junior staff and students have appropriate supervision and assessment.
- Facilitate and organize the daily running of the ward, liaising with medical staff, bed manager, and allied healthcare professionals.

Our sites include St George's Hospital, one of 11 major trauma centres in the UK, and St Helier Hospital, home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit.
Person Specification- Registered General Nurse with Mentorship or equivalent qualification.
- Nursing-related Degree or Diploma.
- Relevant recent experience in a senior nursing role.
- In-depth knowledge of current practice, holistic patient assessment, and professional issues in nursing and healthcare.
- Ability to manage own workload and recognize own boundaries of practice.
- Able to respond to emergency situations and communicate efficiently with other departments and healthcare professionals.
- Leadership skills, including multidisciplinary team leadership and teaching staff and patients.
