HAUS Block Management is seeking a highly skilled Residential Compliance and Maintenance Specialist to join our team at a prestigious residential development in London. This role is essential in supporting the Estate Manager to maintain a safe, compliant, and well-presented environment for residents.

This position offers a competitive salary of £32,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus additional benefits that align with industry standards.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting health and safety checks, overseeing contractors, performing minor repairs, and ensuring all compliance and maintenance records are accurately maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health & Safety Compliance: Conduct weekly and monthly health and safety (H&S) checks across the estate, ensuring all areas meet required standards; maintain detailed records of all H&S checks, issues identified, and resolutions.
  • Contractor Management: Supervise and interact with on-site contractors to ensure work is performed to the required standards and in compliance with all health and safety regulations; raise work permits, review Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS), and ensure all contractors comply with site protocols.
  • Minor Repairs and Maintenance: Perform basic repairs around the estate, including changing light bulbs, fixing minor damages, and reporting larger issues that require specialized attention; identify maintenance needs across the site and log issues in the central maintenance software.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 1+ years in a similar role within residential or estate management is highly preferred.
  • Computer Literacy: Essential, with the ability to use maintenance and property management software for logging issues, raising permits, and communicating with the back office.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Professional communication with residents, contractors, and team members is crucial.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate record-keeping and compliance documentation are vital.
  • Basic Maintenance Skills: Ability to perform minor repairs and proactively identify issues around the estate.
  • Health & Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with standard H&S protocols in a residential setting is advantageous.
