Forensic Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practitioner Psychologist to join our team in the Secure Care and Offender Health Directorate. The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical/forensic psychology and experience in working with complex mental health issues.
About the Role:The Practitioner Psychologist will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to individuals with mental health issues, including those with personality disorders and challenging behaviors. The role will involve working closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, as well as providing consultation and advice to colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop treatment plans for individuals with complex mental health issues.
- Provide individual and group-based psychological interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and other evidence-based approaches.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Provide consultation and advice to colleagues on psychological issues related to mental health.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to mental health services.
The successful candidate will have a doctoral-level qualification in clinical/forensic psychology and experience in working with complex mental health issues. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.
