Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and reliable individual to join our team as a Primary School Teaching Assistant in Northfield, Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students and staff in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with teachers to assist with lesson planning and delivery, providing academic support to students across all subjects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Provide academic support to students across all subjects
  • Help manage student behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Support children with additional needs
  • Safeguard students and report any concerns to senior staff
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 2 or 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training (we can provide this if necessary)
  • Experience supporting learners in UK school settings
  • An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (we can provide this if necessary)
Essential Requirement:

You must have fluent spoken English.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately £22,000 - £27,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits to our employees, including competitive pay and opportunities for professional development.
