About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Paediatric Neurologist to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical opinions on a comprehensive range of paediatric neurological problems
  • Manage and lead a multi-disciplinary team
  • Contribute to undergraduate teaching at the University of Nottingham's School of Medicine
  • Undertake post-graduate teaching, training, and educational supervision
Requirements
  • Full GMC Registration
  • Eligible to be included on the Specialist Register for Paediatric Neurology
  • Working towards achieving CCT at the time of the interview
  • MRCPCH or equivalent
  • Experience and specialist training in either epilepsy or Neuromuscular disease
  • Experience and training in management of children with acute neurological disorders
  • Awareness and experience of child protection processes
Desirable Qualifications
  • Paediatric Neurology Fellowship
  • Neurodisability Experience
  • Specific training in patient safety and/or human factors
Personal Qualities
  • Able to work flexibly in a changing health service
  • Able to work within multidisciplinary teams
  • Able to take overall responsibility for patients
  • Commitment to continuing professional development
  • Computing and IT skills commensurate with a senior clinician role
