The role of the Senior Clinical Leader is to provide strategic leadership for the delivery of patient care within a designated area of responsibility.

As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will be responsible for assessing care needs, evaluating care plans, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients.

The post holder will also have specific responsibility for maintaining both clinical and staff governance, ensuring that all aspects of care are delivered in accordance with NHS Scotland's standards and policies.

This role requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group, an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.

NHS Scotland is introducing a reduced working week of 37 hours, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. You may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
