About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join our team at Coventry Building Society. As a key member of our Tooling and Automation Team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions to benefit our employees and members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance on the implementation and maintenance of new and existing cloud technology, particularly focused on DevOps solutions, including containerization of new and existing systems.
  • Support the roll-out of DevOps services to end-users through cloud-hosted services, including AWS, Kubernetes containers, and CICD pipelines.
  • Undertake technical tasks such as maintaining scripts, automated code, reviewing logs, assisting build and configuration activity, updating patching and versioning, and maintaining the technical estate.
  • Support change and implementation where appropriate technical competence has been reached and maintain an enterprise view.
Requirements
  • Solid experience of continuous Integration concept and experience (goCD, Github Actions or similar)
  • Solid experience of core Infrastructure as Code for Cloud in AWS or Azure
  • Previous experience of supporting virtualization technologies (or equivalent)
  • Scripting/automation skills, particularly Terraform, PowerShell, BASH, Ansible Tower
  • Experience in use of CBS core platform systems (Kubernetes, Docker, ArgoCD)
  • Familiarity with the concept of infrastructure/software development paths such as AGILE and LEAN
