We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at People Recruit Limited. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to individuals in need, promoting their wellbeing and independence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personalized care and support to individuals with daily tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Foster positive relationships and provide emotional support to individuals, creating a nurturing and supportive environment.
- Implement tailored care plans to meet the unique needs and preferences of each individual, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times.
- Monitor individual progress and document changes in their condition, maintaining clear communication with healthcare professionals and team members.
- Promote independence and empower individuals to develop life skills and participate in community activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and infection control measures.
- Mandatory Training in care and support aligned to the UK Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF) Mandatory Training.
- Care Certificate (All 15 modules).
- CPI Training (formerly MAPA).
- The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism.
- Relational security Training.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach towards providing care and support.
- Flexible availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and remain calm under pressure.
- Additional training or qualifications related to mental health, learning disabilities, or complex needs.
