As a Senior Estimator at Hunter Mason Consulting Limited, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by providing accurate and detailed estimates. Your expertise will be essential in reviewing tender documentation, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring that estimates take into account applicable legislation and industry standards. You will also be responsible for preparing tender queries, clarifications, and subcontract enquiries, as well as reviewing subcontract tender submissions for compliance. Your strong analytical and communication skills will enable you to effectively manage junior estimators and maintain relationships with existing clients. If you have a background in concrete preservation and repair, and experience with Network Rail/Highways England tenders, this could be an ideal opportunity for you to grow your career.
- Develop and maintain detailed cost budgets and estimates for projects
- Prepare detailed proposals that meet client guidelines and specifications
- Ensure all proposals and estimate deadlines are met
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to maximize customer satisfaction
- Manage estimation documentation, including site assessments and contract terms
- Lead and mentor junior estimators
- Cost management and reporting
- Strong knowledge of concrete preservation and repair
- IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and email
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Health and safety knowledge
As a Senior Estimator at Hunter Mason Consulting Limited, you will enjoy a competitive salary, company car, and mobile phone, as well as an annual performance-related bonus.
