Senior Estimator

As a Senior Estimator at Hunter Mason Consulting Limited, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by providing accurate and detailed estimates. Your expertise will be essential in reviewing tender documentation, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring that estimates take into account applicable legislation and industry standards. You will also be responsible for preparing tender queries, clarifications, and subcontract enquiries, as well as reviewing subcontract tender submissions for compliance. Additionally, you will maintain relationships with existing clients, manage junior estimators, and contribute to cost management and report writing. If you have experience in concrete preservation and repair, Network Rail/Highways England tender background, or concrete repair estimating, this role may be an excellent fit for you. 1. Develop detailed cost budgets and estimates for projects
2. Prepare detailed proposals ensuring client guidelines and specifications are met
3. Ensure all proposals and estimate deadlines are met
4. Maintain relationships with existing clients to maximize customer satisfaction
5. Maintain records of all estimation documentation, including site assessment and contract terms
6. Manage junior estimators
7. Contribute to cost management
8. Prepare reports
9. Have knowledge of concrete preservation and repair
10. Be IT literate, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Email
11. Have verbal and written communication skills
12. Have health and safety knowledge
13. Have experience in concrete repairs and geotechnical tenders (desirable)
14. Have Network Rail/Highways England tender background (desirable)
15. Have concrete repair estimating experience (desirable)
