Hours: 6am-4pm Monday to Thursday, 6am-12pm Friday or 7am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 7am-1pm Friday

Fusion People Ltd is seeking an experienced Gear Grinder for our client based in Barton Under Needwood.

Role: The Gear Grinder will be responsible for grinding gear teeth to drawing specifications.

Key Responsibilities & Activities:

  • Utilize a wide range of measuring equipment to inspect components.
  • Write and interpret instructions and procedures to assemble equipment and products accurately.
  • Obtain relevant information from relevant sources.
  • Control machines and processes.
  • Perform inspections of equipment, structures, materials, and products.
  • Analyze information and find the best solutions to problems.
  • Maintain clear and honest communication at all times.
  • Ensure a safe work environment.
  • Learn and apply the latest relevant knowledge to the work.
  • Mentor trainees/apprentices when applicable.
  • Support all relevant 5S activities.
  • Report any near misses.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with Reishauer, Niles, and Pfauter gear grinding machines is advantageous.
