Job Title: Gear Grinder

Location: Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire

Duration: 6 months contract (minimum)

Pay Rate: £18 per hour

Hours: 6am-4pm Monday to Thursday, 6am-12pm Friday or 7am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 7am-1pm Friday

Fusion People Ltd is seeking an experienced Gear Grinder to join our client's team in Barton Under Needwood. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with Reishauer, Niles, and Pfauter gear grinding machines.

Role: Gear Grinder

Key Responsibilities & Activities:

  • Grind gear teeth to drawing specification
  • Use a wide range of measuring equipment to check components
  • Write and interpret instructions and procedures to assemble equipment and products accurately
  • Obtain relevant information from relevant sources
  • Control machines and processes
  • Perform inspections of equipment, structures, materials, and products
  • Analyse information and find the best solutions to problems
  • Maintain clear and honest communication at all times
  • Keep the work environment safe
  • Learn and apply the latest relevant knowledge to the work
  • Mentor trainees/apprentices when applicable
  • Work to and support all relevant 5S activities
  • Report any near misses

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with Reishauer, Niles, and Pfauter gear grinding machines
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to learn and apply new knowledge
