Job Title: Gear Grinder

Fusion People Ltd is seeking an experienced Gear Grinder to join our client's team in Barton Under Needwood. The successful candidate will have a strong background in gear grinding and experience with Reishauer, Niles, and Pfauter gear grinding machines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Grind gear teeth to drawing specification
  • Use a wide range of measuring equipment to check components
  • Write and interpret instructions and procedures to assemble equipment and products accurately
  • Obtain relevant information from relevant sources
  • Control machines and processes
  • Perform inspections of equipment, structures, materials, and products
  • Analyse information and find the best solutions to problems
  • Maintain clear and honest communication at all times
  • Keep the work environment safe
  • Learn and apply the latest relevant knowledge to the work
  • Mentor trainees/apprentices when applicable
  • Work to and support all relevant 5S activities
  • Report any near misses
  • Ensure that waste is disposed of in the correct manner
  • Report any issues or problems with jobs to the line manager
Background and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant rail or automotive industry. A strong understanding of gear grinding principles and experience with precision machinery is essential.
