Support Worker - Young Adults

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team at a specialist college in Horsham, West Sussex. This role involves supporting young adults aged 19 and over in their educational journey, providing a positive impact in their lives.

Job Details

The successful candidate will work term-time only (39 weeks per year), with flexible hours between 5-40 hours per week. A 30-minute commute from surrounding areas makes this an attractive opportunity.

  • Salary: £9.95 per hour, depending on experience.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Support Worker, you will work closely with Specialist Tutors and Learning College Support Workers to create a supportive learning environment. This includes assisting in lesson planning, facilitating student mobility, and providing therapy and behavioural support.

  • Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for young adults.
  • Assisting in the implementation of individualized education plans.
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to enhance students' learning experiences.
