Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Thompson Aero Seating Ltd. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our aerospace products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for aerospace products
  • Produce 3D models of parts and assemblies
  • Produce 2D detail drawings of parts and 2D assembly drawings
  • Produce electrical harness routing and equipment layouts
  • Produce 2D and 3DPDFs of electrical harness and equipment layouts
  • Assembly and BOM configuration
  • Release of engineering drawings following company release procedures
  • Change management of engineering drawings following company release procedures
  • Support prototype hardware build through NPI development
  • Contribute to design solutions
  • Work collaboratively as part of an integrated project team
  • Deliver work packages to the project plan
Requirements:
  • 3rd level qualification in relevant Engineering or related discipline
  • Strong 3D CAD modelling skills
  • Previous experience in a Design and/or Engineering related role
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Strong IT skills including MS office tools
