We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Philanthropy Researcher to join our dynamic Philanthropy & Events team within the Supporter Income & Engagement directorate.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and qualifying a continuous pipeline of high-net-worth individuals and trusts & foundations capable of principal-level giving (£1m+).

You will develop a strategy for researching and prospecting these potential donors, providing research and insight for both fundraisers and the Executive Group.

As part of this role, you will also assess our Due Diligence and Gift Acceptance Framework to ensure we remain compliant and demonstrate best practice.

You will work closely with the Philanthropy & Events leadership to develop a prospect pipeline for the new Three Basins campaign and help implement an internal screening process to identify existing supporters with potential for uplift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of high-net-worth individuals and trusts & foundations in the UK
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including fundraisers and the Executive Group
  • Analyse and interpret information from various sources to inform donor research and prospecting strategies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective workload management approaches
  • Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of our Due Diligence and Gift Acceptance Framework

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience of prospect research within a high-value fundraising environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to communicate complex information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics

  • Salary: £43,851 per annum
  • Annual leave starting at 26 days a year, rising one day each year to a maximum of 30 days plus bank holidays
