Service Technician Trainee

Job Summary
This role involves working as a Trainee Service Technician at Whittington Hospital, providing high-quality products and services to customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery and maintenance services, setting up products for patients, and repairing and maintaining equipment.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver clean, ready-to-use products around the hospital site
- Collect products after use and return to central location
- Disinfect, function check, repair, and electrical safety test products
- Complete records of testing, delivery, and collection within our computerised system
- Maintain available product stock and spare parts inventory
- Complete product modifications when required
- Provide product demonstrations and basic training to staff
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a mechanical or electrical background, and experience working within a healthcare setting is desirable. The successful candidate will be proactive, customer-focused, and able to communicate effectively. They will also have basic knowledge of hygiene and safety rules, as well as basic PC skills.
Benefits
The company offers a competitive basic salary of £25,060 + London weighting, a contributory pension scheme, and 33 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays.
