Senior Pharmacy Technician Medicines Management

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team as a Medicines Management Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medicines management services to patients at our hospital.
Main Responsibilities- Support the ward pharmacists in providing medicines reconciliation and assessment of patients' own drugs.
- Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the satellite pharmacy, including original pack dispensing, patient counselling, and supply of discharge medicines.
- Work with the Pharmacy Technician Specialist (Medicines Management) to develop and maintain the medicines management service at ward level.
- Support the induction and training of staff, including Pharmacy Technicians, Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians, and Trainee Pharmacists.
- Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) or willingness to work towards this.
- QCF A1 workplace assessor award or working towards this.
- Significant post-qualification experience in hospital pharmacy, including experience in medicines management and leadership roles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
This role is based at Barnet Hospital, part of the Royal Free Hospital Trust. The successful candidate will be working in a dynamic and supportive team environment, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
Salary: £32,720 to £39,769 per annum inclusive of HCAS.
