Dermatology Consultant

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the existing dermatology team in a rural setting, providing high-quality services to a diverse population. The purpose of this post is to ensure the highest standard of care is delivered to the local community.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide a comprehensive dermatology service to hospitals within the region, working across different sites as required.
- Coordinate departmental cover for dermatology by managing leave with colleagues.
- Teach medical students, junior doctors, nursing staff, and General Practitioners.
- Take an active part in the Postgraduate Medical Education programme.
- Attend dermatology team meetings and contribute to the management and development of the clinical service.
- On GMC Specialist Register
- MRCP(UK) or equivalent medical experience
- Experience and understanding of NHS practice
- Special area of interest and expertise within Dermatology, including skin surgery
- Special interest in surgery, paediatrics, or biological therapies
- Ability to teach trainees and general practitioners
- Ability to assist in the development of the service
- Participation in research
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of resource management and clinical audit
