Join Westfalia Fruit as a Product Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Manage stock to ensure it is correctly stored, ripened, and allocated to customer specifications while minimizing wastage.
  • Quality Control: Inspect, control, and report on raw materials to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Stock Rotation and Allocation: Manage, rotate, and allocate stock effectively to meet customer demands.
  • Yield and Defect Monitoring: Monitor and report yields and defects by pallet and grower to optimize our supply chain.
  • Stock Records and Allocations: Maintain accurate daily stock records and allocations to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ripener Management: Oversee and manage the ripeners to ensure optimal ripening conditions.
  • Stock Information Updates: Update stock information on our Prophet computer system to ensure real-time visibility.
  • External Surveyor Supervision: Supervise external surveyors and maintain relevant records to ensure compliance.
  • Customer Samples: Prepare customer samples as needed to meet their requirements.
  • Site Visits: Conduct visits to outside stores, ports of entry, and producers as required to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to and enforce company Health and Safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Food Safety and Integrity: Ensure food safety, integrity, and hygiene standards are maintained to meet regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Quality Testing Experience: Experience in quality testing fruit is essential.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Good written and verbal English skills are required.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to work in Microsoft Word and Excel is necessary.
  • Initiative and Problem-Solving: Must be able to work from own initiative and solve problems effectively.
  • Motivation and Reliability: Must be motivated and reliable to meet deadlines and deliver results.
  • Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills are essential to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
