About the Project

A Research Assistant position is available at St George's, University of London to work on a project focused on antimicrobial resistance gene transfer in MRSA. The post-holder will be funded by a prestigious grant and will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will contribute to a project aiming to characterise the distribution and function of genes controlling horizontal gene transfer in Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. This will involve a combination of laboratory research, data analysis and collaboration with the team.

About you

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with a good BSc (or close to completion) in microbiology or a related field. Experience in laboratory research and horizontal gene transfer is essential. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are also required.
