DescriptionWe're seeking an exceptional Senior Security Incident Response Engineer to join our Information Security Response Organization, as part of the Incident Handling, Coordination & Response function. This person will investigate and respond to security incidents promptly with clear, proactive communication through the incident lifecycle. A successful candidate will possess a proven technical background, relevant Information Security experience with a strong focus in the Incident Response lifecycle. This role is an integral part of the security controls Apple uses to protect its customers, brand, and data.
About the RoleThis position requires a skilled engineer who can analyze complex security incidents, identify root causes, and develop effective mitigation strategies. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of computer systems and networks, and the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze security incidents to identify root causes and develop effective mitigation strategies
- Communicate with stakeholders to provide timely and accurate updates on incident status and progress
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and improve incident response processes
To be considered for this role, you'll need:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Information Security, with a strong focus on Incident Response
- Proven experience with security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security incidents
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
