About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for managing security incidents and events at a high level, working closely with stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential threats. Your strong analytical skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams will enable you to drive process improvements and contribute to the development of new standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage, escalate, and assist in the response to cybersecurity-related events and incidents
  • Manage containment and remediation efforts for affected assets, IOCs, and TTPs
  • Act as a high-tier escalation point for security incidents, providing technical expertise to the cyber incident/event management process
  • Collaborate with technical personnel from various disciplines to assist with projects, process improvements, and process documentation
  • Liaise with Cyber Defense, Privacy, Compliance, Business, Legal, and Architecture teams to influence the creation and adoption of new standards and procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in IT Security or Cyber Security, preferably in areas such as Incident Response, Email Security, Data Protection/Governance, Cybersecurity threat detection, monitoring, and reporting, Cyber Intelligence and Threat Hunting, Vulnerability Management
  • Experience analyzing attack vectors, current threats, and security remediation strategies
  • Networking experience (including the OSI Model, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SMTP), System Administration, and Security Architecture

Estimated Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
