Special Education Support Worker

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a skilled Teaching Assistant to work in a lovely SEN School near Preston. This role would be an excellent opportunity for a recent psychology graduate looking to make a difference in the lives of children with profound and multiple learning disabilities.
About the Role
This is a temporary full-time position requiring a committed individual to support pupils in small groups or on a one-to-one basis. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to develop engaging lesson plans and provide personal care assistance when needed. Ideally, you should have experience supporting children and possess a Team Teach qualification or be willing to obtain it.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with PMLD in small groups or one-to-one
- Assist with personal care tasks as required
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to develop effective lesson plans
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or willingness to process a new application)
- Two professional child-related references
Salary and Benefits
