Battery Simulation and Verification Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Battery Simulation and Verification Engineer to join our team at Aston Martin. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the simulation, integration, and validation of high-voltage battery systems across all AML programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Battery and BMS Engineers to define component functionality and integration tests.
- Develop and coordinate test plans to ensure the BMS is fully validated by the time certification is required.
- Conduct software tests on component, rig, and vehicles to validate different functionalities.
- Issue tracking and root cause analysis to ensure adequate validation.
- Task tracking and weekly program status reports as part of the Battery working group.
- Advanced understanding of Battery Systems and BMS, including state flow, diagnostic, fault thresholds, and software flashing.
- Hands-on experience working with vehicle LV and HV systems.
- Expert user of MATLAB - Simulink and Simscape.
- Prior modelling experience in thermal and electrical domains.
- Communication toolsets, such as VECTOR toolset or Bosh.
- Engineering Degree in Electrical, Electronic, and/or related field.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organise multiple inputs into succinct summary.
- Fluent presenter of technical information at all levels.
