We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Court Usher to join our team at the Royal Courts of Justice. As a Court Usher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the court, preparing courtrooms for sitting, and maintaining a clean and tidy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare courtrooms for sitting and maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Work with judges to prepare documents for cases, both face-to-face and on Microsoft Teams.
  • Process work and court clerking, scanning documents, and transferring files.
  • Liaise with members of the judiciary, uploading documents onto electronic systems, and contacting relevant parties.
  • Administer oaths to witnesses, track attendance, and ensure the smooth running of the courts.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Polite and helpful demeanor when interacting with customers.
