We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Court Usher to join our team at the Royal Courts of Justice. As a Court Usher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the courtrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the courts for sitting, maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
  • Work closely with judges, preparing documents for cases and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Process work and court clerking duties, including scanning documents and transferring files.
  • Liaise with members of the judiciary, uploading documents onto electronic systems and databases.
  • Contact relevant parties, schedule hearings, and serve court documents.
  • Administer oaths to witnesses and ensure the smooth running of the courts.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Experience working in a public-facing environment is desirable.
