Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Health Care Assistant to join our team on ward 14. Our ward is a 32-bedded complex care ward, providing specialized care to patients. As a Health Care Assistant, you will work as part of a team with experienced nurses to provide a high standard of care to our patients.
Main Duties of the JobAs a Health Care Assistant, you will be involved in a variety of duties such as bathing, toileting, and monitoring patient observations. You will also be required to maintain confidentiality of patient information and ensure clarity in communicating with patients, their relatives, and other team members.
Key Responsibilities- Recognize and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Ensure clarity in communicating with patients, their relatives, and other team members
- Participate in shift handover to ensure effective continuity of care
- Contribute to the ongoing support of patients and their families
- Assist with admitting, discharging, transferring, and escorting patients
- Carry out tasks and planned care as designated by a registered nurse
- Maintain personal and organizational standards of health, safety, and security
- Respond appropriately in the event of a health or clinical emergency
We are looking for a Health Care Assistant who is educated to GCSE level or equivalent and willing to undertake an apprenticeship. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable evidence of working with people and a willingness to learn and develop their skills.
