Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electro Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the manufacture and repair of electro-mechanical assemblies, including reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture and repair electro-mechanical assemblies to a high standard
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics to assist with building and fault finding
  • Perform soldering and electrical looming to a high standard
  • Assist with pressure and soak testing of Saab Seaeye components
  • Diagnose electrical and electronic faults to PCB board level using proven fault finding methods

Requirements:

  • Formal qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering - NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Previous experience working on complex medium to large electro-mechanical and hydraulic assemblies
  • Ability to interpret electro/mechanical/hydraulic schematics
  • Proven knowledge and experience of mechanical engineering practices
  • Understanding of electronic manufacturing practices, such as IPC or equivalent
