**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manufacture and repair electro-mechanical assemblies to the highest standards.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics to assist with building and fault-finding.
  • Ensure soldering and electrical looping is carried out to a high standard.
  • Assist with pressure and soak testing of Saab Seaeye components as required.
  • Maintain personal ability in and appropriate use of relevant IT systems.
  • Previous experience working on complex medium to large electro-mechanical and hydraulic assemblies.
  • Familiarity with 6S principles and lean working initiatives.
  • Maintain a professional and supportive relationship with team members and other departments.
  • Act ethically and with integrity at all times.
  • Keep good time management to minimise wasted time and maximise productivity.

**Required Skills:**

  • Ability to interpret electro/mechanical/hydraulic schematics.
  • Proven knowledge and experience of mechanical engineering practices.
  • Understanding of electronic manufacturing practices, such as IPC or equivalent.

**Desirable Skills:**

  • Component level diagnostics.
  • Formal qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering - NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • Previous use of electronic testing equipment such as oscilloscopes/megger/multi meters.
