Caregiver for Elderly Communication Needs

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at the Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a degree in Speech & Language Therapy and postgraduate training in adult dysphagia.
As a qualified SaLT, you will work independently to assess, diagnose and treat adults with swallowing and communication impairments from stroke and other acquired neurological conditions.
You will be part of a collaborative SaLT team, working closely with other professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of the team through student supervision, CPD and wider hospital initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be able to manage problems and situations effectively, seeking support when necessary, and benefit from being part of a larger service for supervision and support, clinical governance, in-service training and ongoing professional development.
Main Duties- To work with in-patients on the 30 bed acute & rehab stroke unit, and potentially on general medical, surgical, & elderly wards
- To contribute to the development of the SaLT team, including student supervision, NQP supervision, and in-house CPD

- Degree in Speech & Language Therapy
- Postgraduate qualification, or completion of RCSLT competencies, in adult dysphagia
- Registration with HCPC
