As a Community Care Worker at Wiltshire Council, you will be responsible for providing homecare support services for individuals recently discharged from the hospital or under the care of the Rapid Response Service. Your role will include promoting independence, preventing, reducing, and delaying the necessity for long-term care.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience in community care while making a real difference in people's lives. You will work closely with a dedicated team to provide high-quality services that meet the needs of our community.

The successful candidate will receive a welcome payment of £1,300 (subject to tax and NI) for their integral role in reducing flow pressure on hospitals. You will also have access to extensive training, progression, and diploma opportunities.

Requirements:

  • A general level of education to GCSE A*-C or equivalent skills and experience
  • Basic knowledge of safeguarding and regulations relevant to community care
  • Previous experience of providing care and support to the elderly and/or people with a learning disability

Benefits:

Salary: £23,893 - £24,702 pro rata (Plus 10% unsocial hours for qualifying shifts)

Hours per week: 27 hours
