About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Reporting Professional to lead projects for our clients in the food service & manufacturing industry. This role will sit within the Professional Services team, reporting to the Head of Professional Services.


Your key responsibilities will include:


Leading Sustainability Projects for Food Companies

Our clients are large food companies that require assistance with measuring, reporting, and managing their carbon emissions and other environmental impacts. You will lead strategic engagements with these clients to help them deliver against their ongoing sustainability commitments, rooted in data and evidence-based research.


Key responsibilities include providing expert sustainability advice and guidance to companies, ensuring a quality, timely, and valuable service to our clients.


Leading on Client Engagement

You will be responsible for managing and strengthening client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact from initial scoping to final delivery. You will gain a deep understanding of their sustainability goals and challenges and work collaboratively with stakeholders to tailor strategic and actionable sustainability solutions that align with each client's unique objectives.


Managing and Developing Our Team

As a senior consultant, you will lead and manage engagement teams, ensuring successful project delivery. You will provide strategic direction on projects, oversee project timelines, and allocate resources to meet client objectives. You will also develop junior staff, fostering their growth through mentoring, coaching, knowledge sharing, and hands-on training.

Foodsteps is a leading food sustainability platform that empowers the food industry to accelerate its journey to net zero. Our platform provides instant access to industry-leading data and insights that food services companies and food manufacturers can trust to accurately measure, reduce, and report their environmental impact.


Our Product

Our platform enables food businesses to automatically calculate Product Footprints to understand the carbon, land, and water impact of their menus and products. They can also easily generate Scope 3 Assessments of their food and beverage supply chain and produce detailed Life Cycle Assessments to gain a holistic and granular view of a product's environmental impact.


Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience working in a consulting environment
  • Experience conducting carbon reporting assessments for corporate clients to GHG Protocol standard and delivering insights and strategic recommendations
  • Familiarity with wider existing and upcoming sustainability standards, such as SBTi (including FLAG), CSRD
  • Experience with life-cycle assessments or in sustainability research
  • The ability to lead client-facing projects independently and manage relationships with senior client stakeholders
  • Experience coordinating and leading multi-disciplinary delivery teams
  • Experience leading a team of junior staff and contributing to their continuous professional development
  • Passion for the Foodsteps mission, working with data, the food industry, and a drive for sustainability
