About the Job

This Locum Social Worker opportunity is based in Ipswich, working with adults in the community. We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality care services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attending regular Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings and collaborating with colleagues from other services.
  • Supporting service users and their families with care planning and goal setting.
  • Undertaking urgent and routine assessments, and participating in the duty worker rota.
  • Working with Lead Care Professionals and supporting those under the Care Programme Approach.
  • Medication administration (if qualified) and opportunities for training.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also benefit from:

Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Experience of supporting people and their families in the community.
  • Effective risk assessment and risk management skills.
  • Knowledge of medication and its effects.
  • An understanding of local and national policies and guidelines.
